The newest member of the Art Everywhere family is nearly complete! “ x “ by San Antonio-based visual artist Mark Hogensen, (a collaboration with his son Henry Hogensen) is currently undergoing installation on the south side of of the Travis Park Plaza parking garage.
The mural’s vibrant color and large scale ( 40’ h. X 82.5’ w) have already transformed Travis street and interface beautifully with existing art in Downtown’s new cultural corridor. Joshua Bar-Yadin, Principle at Entrada Partners (owners of the Travis Park Plaza project) is a believer in the transformational power of art, and the driving force behind this endeavor. Together, with his tenant Hopscotch and his activation of the plaza each weekend with food and music, this once sleepy corner is now one of the hottest spots around.
This addition, along with a planned community mural by Travis Park Church (across the street from the garage) will join the 14 existing Art Everywhere pieces Centro San Antonio has installed, with 21 anticipated murals complete by the end of 2021.
