Young and talented award-winning mariachi vocalists from throughout the nation will come together for a grand performance during the Mariachi Extravaganza Summer Recital. The recital will include finalists and winners from the 28th Annual Mariachi Extravaganza National Vocal Competition and participants from the Mariachi Extravaganza Summer Camp. Nayelli Peña, grand champion vocalists from Grulla, Texas and Dayanara Salinas from Roma, Texas will be featured as soloists along with dozens more. The highlight of the show is the spectacular showcase of 50 young mariachi vocalists, adorned in traditional mariachi trajes and Mexican-influenced dresses, singing together in a choir in a breathtaking performance. While partaking in one of Mexico’s oldest traditions, these young artists offer a refreshing take on mariachi in a unique recital that this packed with culture and elegance.
