If you don’t plan on traveling for the holidays, how about ice skating with your friends and family? It’s a seasonal favorite and it’s officially open! We’re talking about the ice skating rink at Travis park.
The rink is expected to attract thousands of skaters through the holiday season. It’s all made possible by the Rotary Club and Centro San Antonio, Mayor Ron Nirenberg was also there for Friday’s grand opening.
Organizers say there’s something special about seeing people come together on the ice.
“When you can see the community coming together around an event like an ice skating rink in San Antonio, Texas during the holidays, it just doesn’t get any better than that, to me,” said Brandon Logan of the Rotary Club of San Antonio.
